BGP038 | Magic Show Color Liquid

By Dr. Rajeev Tamhankar

This video is a fun and educational session designed to introduce children to a simple yet fascinating magic trick—color-changing liquid. The video guides parents and toddlers through a step-by-step process to perform this magic trick using two cups, water, and food coloring. The goal is to engage children in learning cause-and-effect relationships while sparking their imagination and cognitive development.

  1. Secretly place a few drops of food coloring at the bottom of one cup (Cup A).
  2. Show two clear cups (Cup A and Cup B) to the child and fill Cup B with water.
  3. Pour the water from Cup B into Cup A, where the hidden food coloring will mix and change the water’s color.
  4. Let the child enjoy the magic, then explain how the color change occurs through the dissolution process.
  1. Enhances cognitive skills by teaching cause-and-effect relationships.
  2. Stimulates imagination and creativity through magic.
  3. Encourages social interactions as children perform the trick for others.
  4. Develops fine motor skills during the pouring and stirring processes.
  1. Use non-toxic, child-safe food coloring to ensure safety.
  2. Practice the trick a few times to perfect the timing of the color change.
  3. Encourage the child to explain the magic trick to others, building confidence and communication skills.
  4. Allow the child to experiment with different colors for added fun and learning.
