NKBGPF005 | Jungle Parade: Peekaboo

By Dr. Rajeev Tamhankar and Riddhi Chincholikar

The Jungle Parade: Peekaboo activity is a fun and interactive way for your child to explore animal sounds, movements, and hide-and-seek play. This activity encourages curiosity and enhances sensory and cognitive development as your little one discovers different jungle animals through playful interactions.

  • Gather soft toy animals or animal picture cards.
  • Hide the toys or cards behind objects like a blanket or a box.
  • Call out an animal name and make its sound (e.g., “Where’s the lion? Roar!”).
  • Encourage your child to find the hidden animal.
  • Once found, imitate the animal’s movement (e.g., hopping like a frog, stomping like an elephant).
  • Repeat with different animals, making it an exciting jungle adventure.
  • Develops object permanence and memory skills.
  • Encourages sensory exploration through sounds and textures.
  • Enhances motor skills with playful movement.
  • Strengthens parent-child bonding through interactive play.
  • Use a soft cloth or peekaboo board to make hiding and revealing more engaging.
  • Add jungle-themed music or background sounds to create an immersive experience.
  • Let your child take turns hiding and revealing the animals for more interactive fun.
  • Stuffed animal toys or animal picture cards.
  • A blanket, scarf, or small box for hiding.
  • Space for movement and playful exploration.
