NKTBGPK008 | Jungle Parade: Level up

By Dr. Rajeev Tamhankar and Riddhi Chincholikar

Jungle Parade is an engaging movement-based activity where children imitate jungle animals while marching in a fun parade. It builds upon the Peekaboo activity by incorporating structured movement, role-play, and coordination. Kids will enjoy stomping like elephants, hopping like frogs, and swinging like monkeys while exploring their imagination.

  • Gather children in an open space and explain the concept of a jungle parade.
  • Assign each child an animal role or let them pick their favorite jungle creature.
  • Play lively jungle-themed music and encourage children to move like their chosen animals.
  • Introduce props like animal masks, soft toys, or scarves to enhance the experience.
  • Guide them through a parade path, incorporating fun obstacles like crawling under “vines” (ropes) or jumping over “logs” (pillows).
  • Conclude with a group roar, clap, or cheer to celebrate their parade performance.
  • Enhances gross motor skills and body coordination.
  • Encourages imaginative play and self-expression.
  • Improves listening and following instructions.
  • Fosters social interaction and teamwork.
  • Use upbeat jungle music to keep the energy high.
  • Encourage expressive animal sounds to make it more immersive.
  • Introduce a storytelling element by describing a jungle adventure as they parade.
  • Keep the activity flexible, allowing children to switch animal roles midway for variety.
  • Jungle-themed music or drum sounds
  • Animal masks, soft toys, or scarves for role-play
  • Rope or streamers for “vines”
  • Pillows or small hurdles for obstacles
  • Open space for movement
