World Map Introduction and Day 1 | #BGP002

Introduce your toddler to maps by explaining that they show us where things are in the world. Show them a world map, pointing out major countries and oceans. Teach basic geography vocabulary such as “country,” “ocean,” “land,” and “world.” Encourage interactive learning by asking questions like “Can you point to the ocean?” or “Where is the land?” This makes learning fun and helps them understand the basics of geography.

1. Show your toddler a colorful world map and explain that it helps us see where different places are in the world.

2. Point out major countries and oceans, saying their names aloud to familiarize your toddler with these important locations.

3. Teach basic geography words like “country,” “ocean,” and “land” to help your toddler understand the different parts of the map.

4. Ask interactive questions like “Can you point to the ocean?” or “Where is the land?” to make learning fun and engaging.

This activity enhances geography skills, boosts memory, encourages curiosity, and fosters interactive learning and engagement.

Repeat names, make it fun, and encourage questions to stimulate curiosity.

Resources required include a colorful world map, a pointer or finger, and Flash cards.
